Friday night, Walkersville Lions football team made their way up the mountain to play their rivals, the Middletown Knights. The Knights prevailed 42 to 0 over Walkersville.

The first quarter was a fair distribution of possession time. Middletown scored their first touchdown at 4:55 left in the first quarter. Middletown punted for the first time with four seconds left in the first.

The next Walkersville possession ended quickly with an interception on the 15-yard line ran back to the 5-yard line by Middletown within the first minute of the second quarter. Middletown really started pulling away with their second touchdown at 11:05 in the second. Middletown then scored again with 5 minutes before halftime.

Halftime score was 21 to 0. The rest of the game was back and forth with Walkersville not producing like Middletown had. Scoring another three touchdowns, Middletown won 42 to 0.
