On field hockey senior night, Walkersville beat Middletown, 1 to 0. The goal was scored by senior, Sara Harshman and assisted by Elizabeth Pardo in the first half.

Senior, Elizabeth Pardo described the win as “the best feeling ever.” All the players were excited about the win. “I’m so proud of my team and my seniors for finally beating Middletown for the first time in seven years, especially on senior night,” said senior, Danielle Repass.

“Everyone played for the seniors. Every senior gave it their all and played like it was their last time playing,” said senior, Caitlyn Pezenosky.

The game was fast paced and a quick two 25 minute halves. Walkersville controlled time of possession throughout the game.

“Tonight was the true Walkersville field hockey team. Sometimes we have trouble connecting but tonight we preserved and showed Middletown how Walkersville does it,” said senior, Madison Campe.

Junior and goalie, Maia Harper recorded twelve saves. Harper said, “I wouldn’t pick another team to play with than these guys.”

The Lion’s next game is their last of the regular season. The game is home against Catoctin at 4pm on Wednesday, October 16th.
