Gravity a Must-See Thrill Ride

Gravityby Kellie Greer

Gravity is a 3-D science fiction thriller that takes place in outer space. Gravity was nerve racking, sentimental, and thrilling. A must see for people who enjoy realistic survival stories.

First of all the cast choice for this movie was perfect. Sandra Bullock can literally play any character, and was an exceptional astronaut.  There was a very small cast of about two people, but most of the movie there is only one. Having a small cast was refreshing and new. I loved it. There are no two other actors that I would rather see stranded in space together than Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

There were moments for me while watching Gravity that I just felt completely at peace. The silence of space and the beautiful visuals of Earth from above made me feel incredibly relaxed. There were other moments though during the film that were exciting and I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails while my heart dropped, wondering if all hope was lost. There were even moments that I was on the brink of tearing up. This movie makes you feel every emotion and does it so smoothly.

Gravity was a refreshing change in film. It was so unique; there definitely is nothing else like it in theaters. There was basically no romance which is a big thing in almost all movies these days, but I didn’t mind that at all because romance was replaced with a great friendship and the usual love drama was replaced with the drama of struggling to survive. After watching this movie, all I could think about was how much I wanted to be an astronaut.

There is an endless amount of good things I could say about this film. I felt like I wasn’t just watching a movie but I was actually experiencing it. I even felt smarter leaving the theater than I did coming in for some reason. Gravity was so realistic that you have to remind yourself you’re sitting in a theater. It really made me think about how I would react to the situations represented through the film. Ever since I watched it I’ve been thinking about it almost constantly, eager to go see it again.

As of November 10th 2013, Gravity has made a worldwide total amount of $474,549,831 and was rated five stars by 96% of critics, according to

I would go so far to say that Gravity is one of the greatest movies of all time. It was a 90 minute thrill ride. A must see.
