Homecoming Dance Thrills Walkersville Students and Community

With a theme that would make you feel like you were in the roaring twenties itself, Homecoming 2013 was a “roaring” success.
The Great Gatsby themed event was a success among students. “[The theme] was good, I liked it. The balloons were a nice touch,” said junior, Sophia Policelli.
For many students, this was one of their first big after school events. Freshman, Bailey Coop said “[My first homecoming] was good; I liked it a lot. I got to have fun with my friends and have a good time.”
For others, it was the event they’ve been waiting all semester for. Junior Miranda Secula said, “The decorations were really cool and I had fun dressing up.”
For seniors, Ben Gaffigan and Karina Keefe, this is the second year in a row that they’ve been crowned homecoming king and queen. “I thought that someone else would get it, but I’m still honored to be king two times in a row,” said Gaffigan.
No matter who you were, Homecoming is an event for all students (and faculty) to enjoy.
