Listen to Your Parents and Teachers — Say Something Nice or Say Nothing At All

by Shamus Beck

I believe that every human being does something in their life that they will regret maybe not right away but before their life is over.

March 8, 2015 was that day for a fraternity at the University of Oklahoma. They were caught on film singing a racist song of their own creation. Now not only did university officials react quickly and efficiently but they tried doing their best to kill the flame before it became a full out forest fire. That fraternity was disbanded and the two leaders of that frat were expelled from the school.

Now on the scale of being inappropriate and unnecessary it breaks that scale and throws it out the window. Now I think racism is stupid and everybody that still thinks that way has most likely been taught that from some family member.

Because not only did it  start a little uneasiness at the university, it recharged already standing racial problems throughout the country again.

So I beg you to listen to your parents and teachers for once when they say “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.”
