Favorite Cartoons from the Good Old Days Still Make WHS Students Smile

We all remember sitting in front of the T.V when we were younger watching our favorite cartoons, so let’s look at some old time favorites.
What was your favorite cartoon? “Kids Next Door” said junior Christian Klipp “It was cool when I was younger watching a bunch of kids attack parents and go on cool adventures and do different things.”
Klrpp truly shared the feelings of many other kids when he was young. Kids Next Door was one of the more popular shows of its day starting in 2002 and ending in 2008.
“My favorite was Tom and Jerry. Really found it funny how Jerry always outsmarted Tom. It was really fun to watch.”said Sophomore Michael Pue.
Tom and Jerry has been around for quite some time, still airing now and then today. The show itself began in 1940, and back then Tom the cat was known as Jasper, and Jerry the mouse was known as Jinx. (quora.co) The show is still relatively popular, and has changed since then.
“Courage the Cowardly Dog was my favorite.” said sophomore Zeeshan Shaika “Every episode was unique. You could go from an episode about chickens, to an episode about aliens and nightmares about talking trumpets.”
Courage the Cowardly Dog came out in the late nineties, and was very popular amongst kids. It had four years of episodes that were spread into four seasons. Courage the Cowardly Dog was a show that was extremely random as Shaika mentioned.
It went back and forth between nightmarish adventures and bad memories that resided in courage. This proved to be quite entertaining for kids of young ages at the time and the show remained popular even after it’s last episode aired.
“Ben 10 was my favorite t.v show. I liked seeing all the cool aliens and transformations.” said sophomore Crichton Boozer.
The Ben 10 series began in 2005 and went on throughout the 2010s in various different installments that went on up until 2014 and aired episodes now and again afterwards.
There are many different cartoons out there, enough for everyone to have their own favorite, and for that favorite to be different from every other show out there. What each of these shows have in common, is that they have the ability to captivate an audience, and entertain them for years.
