Harry Potter fans, rejoice! Fan-made Voldemort: Origins of the Heir has been teased by its creators in a very short trailer and shows a promising tale of mystery.
Voldemort: Origins of the Heir is a movie being created by fans of the Harry Potter franchise. The focus of this movie is on the main antagonist of all the films: Tom Riddle, or better known as Lord Voldemort. The movie was approved by Warner Bros. Pictures as long as the movie was non-profit.
Tryangle, the independent filmmaking company, has stated that the movie is anticipated to come out before the end of 2017.
Their first trailer, which generated the giant buzz around this movie, was released May 28th, 2017.
“It looked like a really good trailer,” junior Kierra Dorsey said, “I understand that fans would want a cool movie, and would give money to help make it happen.” In Tryangle’s about page, Tryangle states that they want to prove that you don’t need huge budgets like with typical Hollywood films. For an independent company, the movie trailer itself is impressive and shows a high level of professionalism.
Junior Meaghan Andrews explained, “It doesn’t seem like it matches exactly. [But] I’m interested to see what they do with it. I can see myself going to see the movie.”
“I’m very excited that they’re making another movie of the Harry Potter series,” said freshman Kenberlin Ferman. “I also like how they took the focus from Harry Potter to the villain.”
In general, the trailer is exciting for students and reminds them of the classic fantasy series that is still a favorite of many.
