Thursday afternoon was the Homecoming Pep Rally where all students could, watch compete, and cheer. After everyone was seated, the Fall Sports Teams came out. First the Girls and Boys Cross Country, second Girls and Boys Soccer, third Field Hockey, fourth Volleyball, fifth Unified Tennis, sixth Cheerleading, seventh Pom and Dance, eighth Golf, ninth the Marching Band, and Finally Football.

The Cheerleaders proceeded to lead us in a spirit cheer and the Poms girls came out and did a dance.

Then the Homecoming court was revealed

Freshman: Maggie Molnar and Xavier Ricks.

Sophomore: Erin Gant and Luke Harned.

Junior: Holly Haught and Myles Roberts.

Seniors: Kathy Krantz, Addie Robert, Paige Shortt, Ben Moreno, Josh Polce, and Kimani Viera.

The Homecoming King and Queen will be revealed at the football game tonight during halftime.

Then the games commenced, first Musical chairs where the Junior class won, then Dizzy Bats was won by the seniors and finally Tug of war with the seniors pulling it out against the juniors.

The Staff Spirit Award was voted on by students and the recipients were:

For Males: social studies teacher Jason Lepeonka

For Females: business teacher Gina Stelma

It later ended with Principal Tracey Kibler giving some closing remarks, telling us to be safe in these next few days and getting us excited for Homecoming.

I asked Sophomore Megan Jacobs if she was ready for homecoming; she laughed then proceeded to reply “Absolutely not! I have plans and a dress and stuff, but mentally I’m not ready.”

The Football game is tonight and Homecoming is tomorrow night.
