Seniors and Faculty All Dressed Up In the Halloween Spirit
by Jessica Bentley
WHS continued its tradition today of Halloween with letting the seniors dress up. The seniors love this privilege and some go all out to make an awesome costume.
There aren’t many rules when it comes to dressing up. Kids can be as creative as they want when it comes to their costumes as long as they follow the school dress code rules. WHS Principal Tracey Kibler encouraged the seniors to dress up, “I love Halloween when seniors dress up. I think it’s cute, and I love the creativity. I think it is great that no matter how old you are you can go back to your childhood and dress up.”
The seniors wore a wide variety of costumes. “I am a witch. I dressed up because it is my senior year, and I have been waiting for this. I also was one of the ones that originally went up to the office and found out if we could,” said senior Debbie Afolabi
“I dressed up as Owen Grady from Jurassic World. The Jurassic World movies are definitely a few of my favorites. I love them!,” commented senior Parker Montour. Montour continued saying, “I go all out every year for Halloween, and I have been waiting to dress up since freshman year. There was no way I was not going to dress up,” in regards to why Montour participated today.
Senior Keren Ott also participated in the Halloween fun. “I dressed up as a hippy because I think it’s cute and funny. I dressed up because we have waited three years to be able to dress up at school.”
The seniors looked awesome in their costumes. As for the underclassmen your time will come to dress up and celebrate the awesome holiday of Halloween.
