Spirit Week is one of the most exciting weeks at WHS. Students of all grades get to dress up and show their school spirit. The themes included Maryland Monday, Tacky Tuesday, Wayback Wednesday, and Spirit Day/Class Shirts Thursday. Today’s theme was Spirit Day/Class Shirts.

Science Assistant Cammi Bittner said, “I think the staff should have their [own] color. I’m [also] looking forward to the pep rally.”

Junior Carlie Geisbert said,“I like how we can show our Lion’s pride and get ready for the pep rally. I would add pajama day.”

Junior Emily Jenkins added, “Everyone wears their color, and supports their class. I would change the throwback because it’s not interesting.”

Freshman Karly Rutherford said,“It’s cool to see our school doing spirit week showing they’re a real lion. They should not add anything, but they should change throwback day.”

Sophomore Megan Sharma commented,“I think it’s cool. I like how each grade has their [own] color. I think the teachers should have their own color. We should [also] add pajama day.”

Freshman Miranda Flores said, “I don’t see much spirit, I would change anything (to get more spirit in the school).”

Sophomore Jackie Montano added to Flores, “[My favorite part is] representing our grade. I would add Twin Day instead of Tacky Day.”

Junior Blaire Shively ended by saying. “I like how I don’t have to plan my outfit. I would add Country Day.”

Students seem pretty excited for today’s pep rally and are excited to show their school spirit!
