Many Wonderful Ways to Celebrate the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

With the most wonderful time of the year approaching, there are sure to be a ton activities to celebrate the holidays around us. Below is a list of events around us in Frederick to celebrate Christmas all December long.

Santa Train: Get your picture taken with Santa on a train, prices vary.

When: Weekly every Saturday and Sunday Nov. 25th- Dec. 23rd at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm

Where: Walkersville Southern Railroad

It’s A Wonderful Life: Spend the night being filled with Christmas spirit for free!

When: December 1st at 7pm

Where: The Weinberg Center

Candlelight House Tour: A tour that is self guided into homes with elaborate holiday decorations.

When: December 2nd from 5pm-9pm and December 3rd from 12pm-4pm

Where: Downtown Frederick

Kris Kringle Parade: A parade to celebrate Christmas and the city tree lighting. You can see little kids and the people of Frederick dressed up to celebrate the holiday and show of the Christmas spirit of downtown Frederick.

When: December 8th, 6:30pm-7:30pm

Where: The parade starts at the corners of South Carroll St and East Patrick St. The Parade ends at Baker Park Bandshell, and then is followed by the tree lighting in Baker Park.

The Nutcracker: Spend time with the family to see this holiday classic.

When: December 8th at 8pm, December 9th at 2pm and 7pm, and December 10th at 2pm

Where: The Weinberg Center

Breakfast With Santa and Friends: Enjoy a nice breakfast and let the kids see Santa.

When: December 9th, 8am-10am

Where: Adventure Park USA

A Christmas Carol: Enjoy another Holiday Classic with the family.

When: December 12th and 13th at 10am. A second showing on Dec. 15th at 7:30pm, Dec. 16th at 2pm and 7:30pm, and December 17th at 2pm

Where: The Weinberg Center

Breakfast With Santa: Come have breakfast with the family, see Santa, and do other fun activities. All while supporting WHS music department.

When: December 9th, 8am-12pm

Where: Walkersville High School

Festival of Lights: Bring the holiday spirit alive with carols, greetings, and inspirational messages. There is also a candlelighting ceremony to fill the courtyard with light.

Where: City Hall

When: December 15th, 7pm-8pm

Phil Vassar and Kellie Pickler: Listen to the musical stylings of country artists Kellie Pickler and Phil Vassar

When: December 22nd at 7pm

Where: The Weinberg Center

Breakfast With Santa and Mrs. Claus: Get one last shot before Christmas to let the kids see Santa and tell them what they want while everyone gets to enjoy breakfast.

When: December 23rd and 24th from 10am-12pm

Where: Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre & Children’s Theatre

Family New Year’s Eve Celebration: Spend New Year’s Eve with the family at Adventure Park USA.

When: December 31st, 9pm-12:30am

Where: Adventure Park USA
New Years Eve “Key Drop”: Spend New Years Eve Downtown.

When: December 31st, 11pm

Where: Carroll Creek Amphitheater

As always downtown Frederick is doing their First Saturday festivities every Saturday in December, so be sure to check them out.
