Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Has Students Addicted to the Game

by Addie Robert

Animal Crossing is a game that has been around since 2001, and is beloved by many. It first started out on the game console GameCube. In 2005, Animal Crossing made its way into the world of the DS and eventually to the Wii. Last year there was rumor of an Animal Crossing app coming to the app store in the near future. On October 27th, 2017 Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was released. This new app put the internet in a craze.

Junior Kylie McClung said, “I love Animal Crossing. I used to play it all the time when I was younger. It is a pretty addicting game. I was so excited to find out that it was coming to the App Store! When I first downloaded the new game I was hoping it would be just like the original, unfortunately it is not. There is a lot of differences, but I still think it is a great game.”

Junior Ashley Ritchie said, “I used to be a big fan of Animal Crossing. I have outgrown most of my childhood games, but I did download the app. It is actually an addicting and fun game.”

Senior Rachel Green stated, “I had no intention of playing this new game, but once I heard all my friends talking about it, I had to get it. I actually wish I never got it because I am so addicted to it. I’m already on level 17.”

Animal Crossing has clearly been a big hit in the App Store, as it has a whamming 4.8 stars out of 5 and 220k reviews. If you have not already gone and downloaded it, you should join the craze and play.  You may even like it so much you will want to go out and buy the original versions too.
